Say, I was studying a physics topic, for example Bloch's theorem, from textbooks. I asked myself these questions: what does the theorem state? What are conditions to apply the theorem? Can I explain the theorem by usual physical sense? , etc. Then, I worked on the mathematics related to the theorem. I wrote down the mathematical form of Bloch theorem, used translational symmetry of Hamiltonian to derive the Bloch wavefunction. Later, I solved textbook problems to understand Bloch theorem in a more practical way. Personally, I think the outlined steps are not enough, until I put textbooks away and write down the topic in a note by my own understanding. At this step, I have to envisage overall contents of the note, think about how to present and derive equations in a logical manner and write physical arguments consistently. The final writing step definitely helps me grasp the topic better.
Physics corner is space where I write physics note by my own thoughts. Rather than storing them in my computer, there will be readers of my blog (though very little) to make me feel more responsible and thus, to motivate me write more frequently. Please don't expect my notes here to be decent. Probably many notes here are even naive. However I am going to improve them as my physics get more sophiticated (and I have enough time).
